This is a set of 4 cross stitch patterns - each pattern is the same design but with Carolyn Manning's unique style using colour to interpret the four seasons.

It features full stitches only and no backstitch.

Each of the 4 patterns are the same size - 151 stitches wide by 151 stitches high.

The finished stitched size will depend on the fabric you choose but for approximate guidance:

14 count aida = 10.8 x 10.8 inches (equivalent to 28 count evenweave)

16 count aida = 9.5 x 9.5 inches (equivalent to 32 count evenweave)

18 count aida = 8.4 x 8.4 inches (equivalent to 36 count evenweave)

Each pattern uses 21 DMC colours designed to be stitched using 2 strands. 20 of the colours use 1 skein or less and just 1 colour will require 3 skeins.

Each season has a black and white chart spread over 4 pages so is easy to read. The colour key tells you how many stitches you will complete for each colour, the colour name and number.
